Launch of the Wessex Harbour Luxury Lodge, Star Attraction at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show
Tuesday 1st Mar 2016
The launch of the Wessex Harbour luxury lodge was a star attraction at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show at the NEC last week, with visitors, at times, left queuing to get in to admire this unique and distinctive new offering from Wessex.
The 55’ x 22’ model on display with its impressive façade, set off by an extensive decking area by UK Sundecks, is destined for the exclusive Plas Coch Holiday Park, set on the Isle of Anglesey with magnificent views of Snowdonia.
The exterior, clad in Canexel (clad in A-grade Cedar wood as standard), has an architectural mono-pitch roof with extended soffit, extensive feature glazing and folding doors that open up the living space outside to the lounge and master bedroom. This is a lodge perfectly designed for a view, and when sited at Plas Coch, that is certainly what it will get!
Inside, the luxurious accommodation comprises of an entrance hall, large living space with lounge, dining and kitchen areas, an opulent master bedroom with large walk-in dressing room and indulgent en-suite, two further bedrooms and a luxury shower room.
On going into the entrance hall, show goers were instantly impressed with the stylish and sophisticated Revival Holborn Bureau Chest, providing plenty of practical storage and desk space too, and an elegant Loughton Chair. Double doors in light oak with glass panels then welcomed visitors into the living space.
Visitors loved the contemporary yet classic interior design, the beautiful, carefully chosen furnishings and gorgeous fabrics. The spacious living area with its large opulent sofas, TV suspended from the ceiling (an innovative solution without compromise when views take precedence!), and wrap around kitchen with stylish Smeg appliances, were also heard to be commented on.
When it came to the master bedroom suite, the beautiful French style bed and wall hung feature fire with driftwood caused quite a stir! Show goers particularly loved the folding doors to the bedroom and were heard to discuss how wonderful it would be to wake up in the morning and open up the doors to take in the view over a morning coffee! On going through into the large walk in dressing area and indulgent, fully tiled en-suite with its Jacuzzi Sharp double bath and 19” Magic Mirror / waterproof TV with ceiling speakers, visitors were equally impressed.
Peter Berwick, Group Sales & Design Director commented: “ It’s been a fantastic show for us and the Harbour certainly created the wow-factor we were hoping for. This is a lodge with real presence, both inside and out that offers true luxury but with practicality too. Visitors loved the striking mono-pitch roof that creates an extra feeling of space and light to the front of the lodge where it reaches it’s highest point. The folding doors to the lounge and master bedroom, allowing the living space to open up to the outside decking area was also an incredibly popular feature.”
Nathalie Montague, Sales Manager commented: “Visitors absolutely loved the lodge! There was a lot of interest from those with their own land and exclusive developments looking for something unique and special, but it also drew interest from visitors looking to buy their own holiday lodge. The Harbour, as a high–end model, is a wonderful showcase for what Wessex can create.”
