Wessex was delighted to launch the all-new Canford park home at The World of Park & Leisure Homes Show (South of England) recently - a contemporary statement home with practicality and style in abundance!
Exceptionally well received by both the trade and public alike, this all-new rendition of a popular model within the Wessex range is all-set to be a mainstay. Here’s a bit more about the 13.716m x 6.012m (45’ x 20’) model displayed:
The Canford’s new exterior is contemporary, stylish and sets the scene for future park home design style. With vertical and horizontal CanExel cladding (other colours and finishes available), and double, half-glazed doors set under a large dormer with feature inset lighting, this home makes a bold first impression in true Wessex style!
Step inside and the design style is equally striking. White panelled vaulted ceilings continue the contemporary edge and Mexicano Oak interior doors with polished satin, stainless steel door furniture spell quality and style that flows throughout – its all the little details that come together to make this home truly special!
A large porch entrance with practical walk-in coat cupboard opens into a contemporary styled lounge. Here, comfortable sofas, feature pendant lighting, taupe painted furniture with limed oak veneer tops and a tiled feature fireplace with electric stove and a reclaimed oak mantel set the scene for the contemporary (yet cosy) design style which continues throughout the home.
The large kitchen / dining area provides the perfect space for entertaining with it’s beautiful deep aubergine and sleek cashmere gloss kitchen units. Practicality also plays its part here as there’s more than ample cupboard space, a full array of integrated appliances and a utility room (on selected floor plans).
The dining area, separated from the kitchen by a breakfast bar, is simply furnished with an extending dining table with chairs and wine unit / sideboard in the same painted taupe style as seen in the lounge. Creating an air of drama that befits the style of this home, two striking pendant lights are positioned centrally over the dining table.
Perfect for quiet pursuits, reading or simply somewhere for paperwork, the study is another practical feature. Simply furnished, there’s room to file paperwork away, desk space and a comfortable grey velvet office chair.
The bedrooms continue with the same contemporary styling and colour scheme – simple yet striking with freestanding taupe painted furniture, clean lines and beautiful touches seen in the quilted bedspreads and oversized lightshades.
The master bedroom includes a walk-in-wardrobe and en-suite and the family bathroom is conveniently positioned opposite the second bedroom. Half panelled walls to the bathroom and en-suite add a real touch of luxury and illuminated mirrors over the counter-top basins finish off the look to perfection.
Peter Berwick, Sales & Design Director for Wessex commented: “Wessex has a reputation for striking design and the new Canford is no exception! In a move away from a traditional stucco finish, we went for CanExel cladding – this gives the home a contemporary and striking look that I believe will be seen a lot more in park home design going forward. Inside, a natural colour palette, clean lines and bold details such as the striking gloss aubergine kitchen units, provide a perfect balance – contemporary yet timeless, reserved yet bold. I’m delighted with feedback received and have no doubt that it will become a core model within our luxury park home range.”
