The Motorhome & Caravan Show is the biggest motorhome and caravanning event of the year and provides visitors with the opportunity to see all the new 2017 holiday homes, motorhomes and caravan models from the leading manufacturers and dealers. There’s plenty to see and do with hundreds of models on display and free advice; you can even research and book your holidays from a fantastic selection of destinations.
Here’s a bit more about the lodge models that will be on display:
The Cranborne Luxury Park Home (50’ x 20’)
designed by Jill Withers
Launched just a few weeks ago and marking the start of an exciting new era for Wessex, the Cranborne is the first park home in the range to be designed by Jill Withers. Sleek and polished with a feel of openness, this is a home with a strong and confident personality that emanates luxury and high style.
The front of the home, which is perfectly symmetrical, makes a bold statement. Two large roof dormers sit either side of a composite front door with half height square leaded glazing to either side. Feature cladding in River Rock Canexel to the roof dormers and to the centre, front of the home is complimented by a stucco finish that is perfectly colour matched, and further windows with part square leaded glazing detail complete the look.
Step inside and you immediately get a feeling of openness with a large, contemporary styled, semi-open plan living space. The lounge and dining area form an ‘L’ shape and the kitchen is open through to the dining area. Vaulted, panelled ceilings further add to the feeling of spaciousness and a skylight over the front entrance lets in plenty of natural light.
The interior design here is striking and bold yet relaxed and comfortable, with feature granite wallpaper, oak engineered wood flooring and distressed white and driftwood furniture. Large comfortable sofas and footstools provide plenty of room to sit back and relax and a feature coal effect fire with angled flue sits in a black granite hearth making a real design statement.
The impressive kitchen is exceptionally well kitted-out and includes a Belfast sink, Silestone worktop, plenty of storage space with soft / self close doors and drawers, a USB charger point and Smeg appliances including a stainless steel range cooker, microwave, dishwasher and American fridge-freezer. There’s also a separate utility room with a second Belfast sink and Smeg washing machine and tumble dryer.
Through into the master bedroom, with 50oz hessian backed carpet underfoot, the luxury continues. Beautiful white, hand-painted furniture includes a King-size bed, bedside tables, writing table and rattan high back chair. Fitted wardrobes with feature Lancaster oak and stone grey panelled, sliding doors to both bedrooms provide plenty of hanging space and a colour scheme of warm greys highlighted by striking Magenta adds personality with a strong sense of style.
The fully tiled en-suite is reminiscent of a luxury 5 star hotel suite and includes a decadent walk-in shower with oversized soaker. Also fully tiled, the family bathroom includes a shower over the bath, contemporary grey gloss vanity unit and a natural rattan storage stool; a continuation of the opulent styling which allows all family members to quite literally soak up the luxury!
The 50’ x 20’ model to be on display will be returning to Wessex’s showground in Brandon Suffolk where it will be available to view. For more information please call 0845 257 0400 .
The Sanctuary Luxury Lodge (50’ x 22’)
designed by Jill Withers
The Sanctuary is the first luxury lodge to be designed by Jill Withers since her return to Wessex and it certainly doesn’t disappoint! With an urban / warehouse feel, moody hues, subtle patterns and cutting-edge furniture, the Sanctuary provides a wonderful, atmospheric environment and the perfect holiday retreat.
When it comes to the exterior styling and features, this lodge is really something special. Beautiful A-grade cedar, horizontal and vertical cladding (other claddings available), means this lodge fits perfectly in park settings, not just providing a view but complimenting it. Square leaded glazing can be found to the living area and master bedroom and French doors to both the lounge and dining areas are perfectly positioned for holiday practicality. Adding interest and more than a touch of luxury, there’s an integrated BBQ area off the living space with a Smeg BBQ grill, and an integrated decking area to the master bedroom provides couples with the perfect space for time-out.
Inside this lodge is equally exceptional. White panelled, vaulted ceilings throughout and exposed feature beams to the living space and master bedroom give the feel of an exclusive warehouse / loft apartment. This feel is further accentuated by beautiful natural oak, engineered flooring which can be found to the master bedroom, hall, kitchen and dining area.
The layout of the spacious, open-plan living space which incorporates lounge, dining and kitchen areas is quirky and interesting, thanks to the integrated BBQ area. The luxurious lounge includes a large Jefferson style corner sofa with scatter cushions, a low storage footstool, designer, weathered oak sideboard and hessian-backed carpet. Feature wallpaper in moody greys flows through into the dining area which features a Willis & Gambier dining suite, illuminated by sleek pendant lighting. A blackboard with hooks hangs on the wall behind this, again accentuating the loft living feel.
The large kitchen area is every foodies dream. Designer Smeg appliances include a range cooker with extractor hood, splash back and wok support, pizza stone, dishwasher and washer dryer – there’s even a Smeg sink! There’s also a Samsung black gloss American fridge-freezer and Bosch microwave. A large kitchen island with wine cooler and wine rack further adds to the individual character of the lodge and the look is finished by Gallo style kitchen units with soft / self close doors and drawers and a Silestone, Coral Clay worktop and up-stand.
Through into the master bedroom and the warehouse loft living style continues but with a French colonial twist. Here an elaborate King-size 4-poster bed, mirror, 2 drawer chest with marble top, two bedside tables with marble tops, an Italian leather chair and a Whitechapel bookcase can be found. A large walk-in wardrobe then leads through into a luxurious en-suite wet-room with a walk-in shower with over-size soaker and a Roca base vanity unit and basin.
The second bedroom has more of a vintage feel and includes freestanding Harvard Oak twin beds, a bedside cabinet, tallboy, blackboard with hooks, vintage leather stool and an Italian leather chair. Fitted wardrobes with sliding doors provide plenty of space for a holiday wardrobe and a fully-tiled family bathroom with shower over bath means that no-one misses out in the luxury stakes!
The 50’ x 22’ model to be on display is available for sale. For more information please call 0845 257 0400.
