Wessex impress with style and quality at The World of Park and Leisure Homes Show
12th June 2017
Wessex impressed visitors at the recent World of Park & Leisure Homes Show with two park home and two luxury lodge models. The beautiful new 2017 Dorset park home was once again available to view following its launch at Newbury. This model sat perfectly alongside the striking Cranborne park home which received its first outing of the year and once again wowed visitors. For those interested in luxury lodges and all that the lifestyle entails, the 2017 Summerhouse left show-goers inspired, whilst the Classic continued to prove a popular choice with trade and retail alike.
Here’s a bit more about the luxury lodges and park homes that were on display:
13.716m x 6.012m (45' x 20')
Highly practical and extremely stylish with simple, understated design both inside and out, the Dorset is everything you would expect from Wessex.
The simple yet stylish exterior is highlighted with a feature front door, framed in Canexel cladding within a central roof dormer. Details such as the box bay windows to the front of the home, the unusual extended overhang and feature cladding to each gable end all come together to give a quiet yet confident feel.
The well thought out ‘L’ shaped lounge / dining area takes full advantage of the space available and a soft, soothing colour scheme of soft almond, oatmeal, champagne and soft greys, blended with bolder highlights of aubergine, thistle and mulberry flows throughout. Carefully chosen furniture including a comfortable Isla-style sofa with coordinating armchairs, Lyon Oak extending dining table, entertainment unit and coffee table, provide comfort and practicality in style, creating a real heart to the home; the perfect space to relax and recharge!
The kitchen, as you would expect from Wessex, provides luxury alongside practicality and is fitted with all the integrated appliances you could wish for. The kitchen units come in a warm champagne metallic finish, accessorised with contemporary brushed steel handles, and a striking violet splash back and a Roman blind in a beautiful checked tartan fabric add highlights of colour. The kitchen then flows through to a highly practical boot room that provides additional storage and somewhere to remove muddy shoes and wipe dirty paws!
The hallway leads through to a generous master bedroom which spans the width of the home and encompasses a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite. Both the master and second bedroom are simply yet elegantly furnished with soft grey and pale oak furniture, finished off with curtains and coordinating scatter cushions in varying shades of pebble grey and indigo blue.
If you love Wessex style and luxury, but are looking for an affordable home, then the Dorset may be exactly what you’ve been looking for.
The model displayed has been sold to Quickmove Properties and is available for sale at Reculver Court, Kent priced at £225,000. For more information please call 01793 840917.

Sleek and polished with a feel of openness, the Cranborne is a home with a strong and confident personality that emanates luxury and high style.
The front of the home, which is perfectly symmetrical, makes a bold statement. Two large roof dormers sit either side of a composite front door with half height square leaded glazing to either side. Feature Canexel cladding to the roof dormers and to the centre, front of the home is complimented by a stucco finish that is perfectly colour matched, and further windows with part square leaded glazing detail complete the look.
Inside you immediately get a feeling of openness with a large, contemporary styled, semi-open plan living space. The lounge and dining area form an ‘L’ shape and the kitchen is open through to the dining area. Vaulted, panelled ceilings further add to the feeling of spaciousness and a skylight over the front entrance lets in plenty of natural light.
The interior design is bold yet relaxed and comfortable, with feature wallpaper, natural oak engineered wood flooring and distressed white and driftwood furniture. Large comfortable sofas and footstools provide ample space to relax and a feature coal effect fire with angled flue on a black granite hearth makes a real design statement.
The impressive kitchen is exceptionally well kitted-out and includes a Belfast sink, Silestone work-top, plenty of storage space and Smeg appliances including a stainless steel range cooker, microwave, dishwasher and American fridge-freezer. There’s also a separate utility room with a second Belfast sink and Smeg washing machine and tumble dryer.
With hessian backed carpet underfoot, the luxury continues into the bedrooms. Beautiful hand-painted furniture in the master bedroom includes a King-size bed, bedside tables, writing table and rattan high back chair. Fitted wardrobes with feature Lancaster oak and stone grey panelled, sliding doors to both bedrooms provide plenty of hanging space and a colour scheme of warm greys highlighted by striking Magenta adds personality with a strong sense of style.
The fully tiled en-suite is reminiscent of a luxury 5 star hotel suite and includes a decadent walk-in shower with oversized soaker. Also fully tiled, the luxurious family bathroom includes a shower over bath; a continuation of the unique styling which allows all family members to quite literally soak up the luxury!
The model displayed has been sold to Organford Manor Country Park, Dorset and is available for sale – POA. For more information please call 01202 770 736 or visit www.omcph.com .

Fresh and beachy with a free and easy spirit, the Summerhouse is perfect for enjoying carefree days with friends and family.
The cool looking exterior, vertically clad in Coastline CanExel (also available in a range of other colours and claddings), gives the feel of a fresh sandy day on the beach with a touch of cool ocean mist in the air; and tall, slender windows along with French doors to the lounge and master bedroom invite the outside in.
White panelled, semi-vaulted ceilings and partially panelled walls continue the fresh, beachy feel inside and feature beams to the living space add character and depth. With a colour palette of cool whites and nautical blues, and simple contemporary reclaimed pine furnishings, and crisp linen fabrics, this lodge has a wonderful style that you can’t help but relax in.
It’s not just the style, quality and feel of this lodge that make it special though, as you would expect from Wessex, original and unique features are in store. An intelligent floor plan maximizes the use of space, particularly in the living area where the kitchen, with fully
integrated Bosch appliances, cleverly wraps around the far side of the lodge. Through into the master bedroom, a stylish Hampstead double bed sits central to the room in front of a feature, full-height wall with beautiful glazing. Behind this wall, an indulgent Eastbrook Mistral 1800 bath is situated, and then to the left a separate WC and en-suite shower room – pure luxury!
If you’re looking for a luxury lodge that will see guests coming back time and time again, the Summerhouse may just be the lodge you’ve been looking for.

Bright and comfortable with a fresh and airy feel, the affordable Classic is perfect for getting away from it all with its unique character and true Wessex style.
On entering through large French doors, the spacious living area immediately evokes a feeling of comfort and ease. The white panelled ceiling and large windows accentuate the feeling of space and with its soft colour palette and comfortable sofas, you’ll be able to relax and unwind in true style.
The high gloss kitchen provides ample cupboard space in addition to accommodating a full complement of integrated kitchen appliances. A particular feature of the kitchen is the wide work surface between the kitchen and dining areas which creates a breakfast bar in addition to providing an extremely practical work area.
Light and inviting the bedrooms continue the fresh and comfortable feel with soft checked fabrics, panelled feature walls and freestanding Bentley furniture - a perfect haven on a warm summer’s night or cold winter’s evening.
