Wessex return to their home turf to great acclaim
30th September 2014
Wessex returned to their home turf at Holiday Caravan 2014 (Beaulieu) last week to great acclaim impressing the crowds with no less than two product launches: the Contemporary Vue – a lodge with a stylish roof deck and the all-new 2015 Cranborne park home. With two bestselling 2014 lodges also on display, the Classic and the Contemporary, it was quite a show for Wessex!
Beaulieu is the second of two shows run annually in September by The Hull and East Riding Caravan Manufacturers' Association. Providing visitors with the first opportunity in the south of England to see the new season’s lodges, park homes and caravan holiday homes, Beaulieu is the main holiday home show of the year and not to be missed!
The Contemporary Vue, a new version of Wessex’s popular Contemporary lodge but this time sporting a stylish new roof deck, was the talk of the show. The Contemporary Vue on display was a 42’ x 14’ single luxury lodge with a roof deck that provides the perfect environment to soak up the sun on a lazy summers day. Accessed via a feature external spiral staircase, the roof deck sits over the front elevation of the lodge and is perfect if you want to make the most of views over land or sea.
The Contemporary Vue on display was pre-sold to the Waterside Holiday Group who was delighted to be the first to take delivery of such a special lodge. Ben Nolan-Stone, Head of Sales at the Waterside Holiday Group said: “We are thrilled with the new Contemporary Vue which has already been sold. We have already taken a number of Wessex Contemporary and Classic lodges this year that have proved to be very popular for their style and quality. We loved the Wessex Contemporary so asked if it was possible for the lodge to be adapted to include a roof deck – Wessex have certainly delivered and we can’t wait to see it on-site!”
Kevin Jones, Sales Manager for Wessex commented: “The Contemporary Vue has been incredibly popular at the show. Visitors have loved the strong architectural features and the unique style - this is a lodge you absolutely cannot walk past!”
Also unveiledfor the very first time at Beaulieu was the brand new 2015, 45’ x 20’, luxury Cranborne park home. Visitors to the show particularly loved the spacious, ‘L’ shaped living space with its warm, natural tones of stone and oyster, and the contemporary, white, high gloss kitchen with it’s elegant clean lines. Kevin Jones, Sales Manager for Wessex said: “the 2015 Cranborne is a high-end luxury park home that provides the perfect blend of traditional with a contemporary twist. With it’s own unique, understated and sophisticated style the Cranborne has been incredibly well received and we’ve already taken a number of orders.”
The 2014 Contemporary lodge with its distinctive architectural features and characterful beams in the living area has already developed quite a following and show goers were keen to take a look inside. The new side elevation layout on the 45’ x 20’ Beaulieu model was designed in conjunction with Waterside Holiday Group and has patio doors on the side. Clad in beautiful Cedar wood (also available in a range of other claddings including Canexel, the standard for this model) the Contemporary combines fantastic holiday practicality with a true sense of style. Highly atmospheric, the beautiful, interior design incorporates freestanding furniture and natural linen fabrics giving a chic and modern feel. A firm favourite with the Waterside Holiday Group, the Beaulieu model will be sited at Osmington Holiday Park.
Also on display was the bright and comfortable new Classic lodge. On entering through large French doors, the spacious living area immediately evokes a feeling of comfort and ease and the white panelled ceiling and large windows accentuate the feeling of space. The high gloss kitchen with its wide work surface between the kitchen and dining areas was particularly well received along with the freestanding Bentley furniture. Pre-sold to Lifestyle Living, the Classic lives up to its name and the orders taken at the show are testimony to its popularity.
Beaulieu was a fantastic success for Wessex who were welcomed back to their home ground by customers old and new. The lodges and home on display lived up to the Wessex name and it’s safe to say that Wessex have firmly re-established themselves in their old territory.
