Hollin Barn Lodge Park

Holiday

Sutton Road, Thirsk, North Yorkshire, YO7 2ER

Hollin Barn Lodge Park, in Thirsk, is set in 3.5 acres of parkland, with fantastic views overlooking countryside toward the Hambleton Hills and National Park.

Set in the heart of Herriot Country, the park is just a couple of minutes from Thirsk, a traditional market town in the Vale of Mowbray. Thirsk is dominated by a historic clock tower and has a lovely cobbled market square. There are plenty of boutiques and shops to explore and a market takes place on Monday's and Saturday's.  Thirsk doubled as Barrowby in Alf Wight's world famous novels featuring his alter ego, James Herriot. The original surgery at 23 Kirkgate where Wight worked, is now a museum devoted to 'All creatures great and small'.

There are many other attractions close by to explore too. Adjacent to the park is the White Horse Lodge Hotel & Restaurant, a family run freehold hotel and restaurant. Thirsk & Northallerton Golf Club is also within close proximity and offers a warm welcome to all levels of golfer. You can also enjoy a day out at the races at Thirsk Racecourse or explore the historic City of York which is just 23 miles away.
